Endotoxin testing — the test others skip
Endotoxins are bacterial cell wall fragments that can contaminate peptides during manufacturing. Even “99% pure” peptides can contain dangerous levels of endotoxins that HPLC testing alone cannot detect.
We use the Limulus Amebocyte Lysate (LAL) method — the pharmaceutical gold standard — to verify every batch is below detection threshold. This is the same test required for injectable pharmaceuticals.
Over 90% of peptide vendors do not perform endotoxin testing. We believe this is unacceptable for research-grade compounds.
